QICC 66 kV and 132 kV cable projects

In July 2019, QICC was qualified by Kahramaa for the supply of 132kv Cables and Systems.

This important milestone gave QICC Nexans the opportunity to write a new Chapter of our History by entering on a new Market.

QICC Nexans had its first Order on February 2020 for the Extension of Hamad International Airport Semi-Private Project.

This Order of 66kv 2000mm ² and 66kv 1200mm² Cables for an amount of $3.5 million was delivered between June and August 2020.

Beyond Cables, QICC Nexans provided a Complete Solution by supplying Cables and Systems, Accessories, Jointing Works, Commissioning, a Flexible Offer and supervising the Installation

In September 2020, following on from this Order, QICC Nexans received a Letter of Awards regarding the delivery of 66kv 2000mm² and 132kv 2000mm² for an amount of $5 million thereby contributing to the Development of Doha and Lusail cities.

Since the end of October, the first Batch is under installation in Airport site for this first relocation works.

In total, the Project counts three relocation works and two new circuits to be installed.

This project is a semi-Turnkey project execution.

In the Frame of this Project, QICC is currently supporting the State of Qatar to develop and expand the existing High Voltage cable network in frame of projects located in Lusail and Al Dayan. For this purpose QICC supplies cables with accessories along with service / jointing works providing to our client a state of the arts cable & system.
