Scope

 This specification covers single-core, XLPE insulated cables for use on the KAHRAMMA low voltage Distribution System .  These cables are complying with IEC 60502-1 and Kahramaa Standard specification No.KM-EPM-D-CBL-LV-XLPE-UGD-Armoured

 

Design

1. Conductor

Plain annealed high-conductivity Stranded ,Compacted Copper Class 2 conforming to IEC 60228.

2. Insulation

Extruded XLPE conforming to IEC 60502-1.

3.Innersheathing or Bedding

Extruded PVC

5. Armour

Single layer of Copper Wire Armour (CWA) with Non-conducting Water Blocking Tape above and below the armour layer

6. Outer Sheath

Polyvinyl Chloride 'PVC' Type ST2

 - Flame retardant : IEC60332-1

 - Antitermite and Antirodent 

 - Colour :  Black
