Scope
These cables are used on Standard Pilot Wire Protection Schemes and Telecommunication Purposes.
The cable shall be inconformity with IEC 60502-1 and Kahramaa standard specification No. : KM-EPM-D-CBL-LV-XLPE-MULTICORE
Design
1. Conductor
Stranded annealed copper conductor circular in shape in accordance with class 2 of IEC 60228
2. Standard Size
Nominal Size shall be 4C X 4 mm2 + 4 X 2C X 1.5 mm2
3. Insulation
Cross Linked Polyethylene "XLPE"
Core Identification : Red,Yellow,Blue,Black for 4mm2 ; Black & White with White/Black Numbering for 1.5 mm2
4. Inner Sheath or Bedding
Extruded bedding "PVC".
5. Armour
Single layer of Galvanized Steel wires "SWA" with Water blocking tape above and under the armour layer.
6. Outer Sheath
Polyvinyl Chloride "PVC" ST2, Flame retardant to IEC 60332-1 or equivalent
