Scope

 This specification covers multi-core, XLPE insulated cables for use on the KAHRAMMA low voltage Distribution System .  These cables are complying with IEC 60502-1 and Kahramaa Standard specification No.EP-MS-P4/S3-040 issue : 3

 

Design

1. Conductor

Plain annealed high-conductivity Stranded ,Compacted Copper Class 2 conforming to IEC 60228.

2. Insulation

Extruded XLPE conforming to IEC 60502-1.

3.Innersheathing or Bedding

Extruded PVC suitable for the operating conditions and conforming to IEC 60502-1

5. Armour

Single layer of Galvanized Steel Wire Armour (SWA) + Tinned Copper Wires (TCWA) with Non-conducting Water Blocking Tape above and below the armour layer The conductivity of the copper wires alone is at least 50% of that of any phase conductor, at their respective normal working temperatures.

6. Outer Sheath

Polyvinyl Chloride 'PVC' Type ST2

 - Flame retardant : IEC60332-1

 - Colour :  Black
