Scope

 

These cables are used on Standard Pilot Wire Protection Schemes and Telecommunication Purposes.

The cable shall be inconformity with IEC 60502-1  and Kahramaa EP-MS-P4/S3-050 specification.

 

Design

 

1. Conductor
      Stranded annealed  copper conductor circular in shape in accordance with  class 2 of  IEC 60228

 

2. Standard Size

       Nominal Size shall be 4C X 4 mm2 + 4 X 2C X 1.5 mm2

 

3. Insulation
      Cross Linked Polyethylene "XLPE"
 

4. Inner Sheath or Bedding
     Extruded bedding "PVC". 
 

5. Armour
     Single layer of Galvanized Steel wires "SWA" with Water blocking tape above and under the armour layer.
 

6. Outer Sheath
     Polyvinyl Chloride "PVC" ST2, Flame retardant to IEC 60332-1 or equivalent
 

Installation Conditions:

 

  1. Air Temperature : 45 Deg.

  2. Ground Temperature: 35 Deg.

  3. Soil Thermal Resistivity : 2.5 k.m/W

  4. Depth of lay : 1.0 m
